Sovata

A unique mountain resort in the entire Europe because of its heliothermic and salty lakes that have well-known therapeutic effects. Located in the Praid depression, Sovata is situated on the lower stream of the Tarnava Mica River , at the confluence with the Sovata River , at the south-western basis of the Gurghiu mountains. The riches consist in the salted waters that form several lakes: Ursu Lake, Nut Lake, Black Lake, Red Lake and Green Lake.
The climate is specific to a depression, with cool summers and cold winters.
Directions: You can access the resort by car on the DN 13 road (Odorheiul Secuiesc-Targu Mures), 51 km far from Targu Mures or by train on the Medias-Praid route. The nearest airport it's in Targu Mures.
