Balea Lac
Alt. 1234-2300 m
A spectacular ski area in the Fagaras Mountains (Meridionali Carpathians), highest Romanian mountains, looking similarly to the Alps. The resort offers medium to advance natural slopes perfect for extreme sports but not only.
The snow last from November/December to May.
Directions: It can be reached by car from Sibiu (65 km) up to Balea Lake, further on you'll have to take the car-lift (runs 6 months of the year).
